Welcome to the red light district

Soo got ya attention which was my intention(awesome choice of words!).
After a relaxed 5 hrs flight I arrived in Sydney and just had to wait 2 hrs for my shuttle bus to bring me to my hostel.

Perfect view over the city from my plane!

Korbi was so kind to get me a bed in his hostel "Funkhouse" even thought it was fully booked so thanks for that mate!
The hostel is located on the Darlinghurst Road in Kings Cross which is the red light and party district of Sydney( refer to headline;)).

Darlinghurst Road in Kings Cross...bling bling

After check-in and getting rid of my baggage Korbi and I went into the city and he showed me the City and Opera House and Harbour Bridge - massive!

The famous Opera House...looks better from afar!

Korbi and me in front of the Harbour Bridge -                                     massive!

Before I came to Sydney I had no idea at all how the city would look like since I just knew the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge and I just can say that this city is stunning! Heaps of skyscrapers together with harbour, Opera House and Harbour Bridge create an amazing location.
On our way back to Kings Cross we made the first of many cheap Hungry Jack's marathons.

Back in the hostel I called my current employer Yadid if I could work for him and told him that I got the white card and experience...thought I did not. So when he told me that I could work for him and sign the contract the next day I had to be damn quick to get the white card in time. It was a damn stressful day but it worked out and I could sign and worked already the next day!
So I went to K-Mart to get my steel cap boots - the first day of work as a labourer could start and I was prepared.
Here I would like to thank Max for giving me Yadid's number and advice!
At my first day of work I had to dig almost the whole day to level the ground so that a new floor could be placed there.
After work Felix called me if I wanted to work that weekend for his boss who does removal. So I spent my whole first weekend in Sydney to work and get some money. Monday started my construction job again and I am doing that still just unfortunately already had 3 days of in the 3 weeks I worked there...during my work I have to move things and tools a lot, dig in the ground or clean up the area. But I also have to destroy walls with a jackhammer, drill some holes in walls or cut steel with a grinder so a good opportunity to get used to a lot of useful tools! All in all the work is very exhausting but it feels really good to finally work again and earn some money.
Wednesday night Sam Lee, my fourth room mate with Korbi and Felix went out and when he came back with a girl he did not want to let us sleep and entertained us instead. You just heard things like "Slap me Sam Lee!" And "Who is the boss?!" so I was not able to get too much sleep that night and work was hard on the next morning. I just came back in my hostel and took a shower and wanted to cook something when Felix called me and asked me if I wanted to work for his removel boss for 3 or 4 hours and I thought "Well, why not some extra money and back at 9pm is not too late to cook something nice and have a good sleep." However that job lasted 8 hours so I came back at 2:30am in the morning had 2.5 hours of sleep and then had to go to my construction site...I was so destroyed but managed to work my 8 hours there as well.
So my first free weekend in Sydney started and Felix,Korbi and I decided to go to the cinema that night to watch Hunger Games:Catching Fire. A pretty good movie but very long winded in the beginning.
On Saturday Elena and I went to Darling Harbour which was supposed to be a very beautiful place and it was indeed nice there.
That evening I had my first night out in Sydney!
We had a deal from the hostel:a shuttle bus to Darling Harbour, the entry into the Home Club and a free drink in there for only 5$!!!
So we prepared for the evening and got goon for us - the evening could start!

You don't have a good day if you don't have a good selfi!

Darling Harbour looks best at night!

The Club was good...way better than our home town club at least and it was nice to go into a club again without shorts and tongs.
The following week I unfortunately had Tuesday and Wednesday off so Felix and I went into the Taronga Zoo, Sydney's famous zoo. The zoo was very huge and had a lot of different animals to offer and also a good bird and seal show.

In the background Sydney's stunning skyline.

              Not the only apes around...!

                                Go Enton!

Who is this guy? Stunning image...

Where ever you were you had a fantastic view over Sydney so another good day in Sydney!

When we finally had weekend again Felix, Luke and I decided to try another club so we went to the World Bar. All in all the DJ was really disappointing but for Australian standards he was not that bad since Australia got the world's worst DJs (in my opinion so far at least!).

                         Here with Luke!

That Sunday the world's biggest short film festival Tropfest was hosted in Sydney and I have never been on a film festival before so I took my chance and went with Elena to the festival. It started early at the afternoon and lasted until midnight.
A lot of amazing short films were shown so it was good fun!
And there were so many people...never expected a crowd that big but really worth it to visit that festival.

Hard to guess how many people went there...ten thousands...?

The next week I also had a day off - Tuesday.
Because the weather was amazing I convinced the guys to go to Bondi beach since I haven't been at the beach in sydney yet and I wanted to surf. However the waves where shit and to hire a surfboard was damn expensive we decided to just hang out at the beach ( p.s. the water was freezing as well...).
The beach was quite beautiful but I expected a little bit more of the world famous Bondi beach...

Bonding Beach! The place where we are gonna                      celebrate Christmas;)

After another 3 days of exhausting work this weekend started and The guys took me to a small underground electro club "Chinese Laundry". We were a little early so it was almost empty when we came but filled quite quickly. The sound system there was amazing, you felt the bass everywhere and after a short time it was full of people. Here I definitely had one of my best nights out - ever!!!
  1.        Making new friends in da club:
       with Matti and two Australians

Now it is Sunday evening and the weekend finishes after a good time bouldering with Ko and Felix.
See ya soon!
