I remember when I arrived in Brisbane everything was new to me. I was kinda shocked how expensive life was and lived as cheaply as possible. Within half a year I changed a lot. I was responsible for myself. And for the first time in my life I wanted to work really bad. I developed some cooking skills (not only pasta with bolognese) and I improved- and still do- my English everyday. Just going to the supermarket to get some food made me learn a couple of new words or expressions I hear during work.
Furthermore my attitude towards money changed a lot now that I pay the great price for living but I am glad I made those experiences and I think and hope that my changes aren't bad ones regarding my character. I still enjoy being in Australia but I realize now my time is limited and so I'm gonna start and try to plan the rest of my stay in Australia soon even thought things never turn out the way you planed them...
This month, January, is definitively the month where the least things happened.
From the 3rd January on I was ill for two weeks laying in bed with high fever, strong headache and a very strong cough that even lead to pain while breathing. But I survived it and when I recovered I immediately continued working.
I got the night manager job in my hostel and now I'm working four nights a week in the hostel because sleep is overrated anyway.
During the daytime I work in the warehouse whenever I get the opportunity to do so.
Even thought January is considered the worst month of the year regarding getting work it turned out to be quiet decent for me.
But I was not only sick and working.
One day Felix,Ko&I went with the ferry to Manly. Manly is definitely my favourite place here because it is so beachy everywhere even in its centre there are wide places and palms everywhere and Manly Beach is also as beautiful as Bonding Beach!
But we -of course- could not neglect Bondi Beach and so we went the with a nice box of goon to enjoy a very hot and sunny beach day, yep one of the best ones!
Later on this month Felix and Korbi unfortunately left Sydney to work in Melbourne... Miss ya here guys was always a good time with you!
Good Bye-Selfi! A final selfi with the selfi crew..
Matti also was going to leave Australia on the 28th January so we had to have an epic last night out! Aaaaand we went on a boat party cruising through the harbour the saturday before! Niceeeee!
Yes Matti and I beloved by Sydney, what esle?
After that we could not just end the night so up to Home Club and stay the whole night!
This was really an awesome last night with Matti!
But guess what? The next day Sunday the 26th January was a public holiday and it was even Australia Day so it was impossible to do just nothing...Luke, Matti and I got us some cold goon and we went into the park with some other friends from the hostel.
This day is one of the rare days where you can drink in the public so we had to make the best of it and everyone who knows goon knows that it hits quick and hard and so it didn't take long to get us pissed. Being drunk in the afternoon in a park is better than you probably think. We had boxes with us and turned the music loud and the party began. Later at the evening there was a firework going to be in Darling Harbour so I joined some French guys and went with them to watch the firework and it was nice. Back in the hostel we continued drinking and wanted to go to a club but we didn't really quite make it...best public holiday here in Australia so far.
On Tuesday my next good friend Matti left...gotta be sad..:(
What a January...3 of my best friends in Australia left me but Luke is still remaining, good boy! And also Moritz from Brisbane came here and another friend from cairns is about to come to Sydney so maybe it's gonna get better...
Aaand we got Luke passing out...
